About Maritime Fall Fair

The Atlantic Winter Fair has operated since 1963 in different venues before establishing itself at Exhibition Park in Halifax. The Maritime Fall Fair Association was formed in December 1999 under the direction of Trade Centre Limited. The Atlantic Winter Fair became the Maritime Fall Fair and officially opened for the first time under the new name in October 2000.

Exhibition Park’s heated indoor multipurpose arena with over 102,000 square feet of exhibition space and free parking for over 2000 cars, with full service cafeteria and canteens is the perfect home for the Maritime Fall Fair.

Managed by the Maritime Fall Fair Advisory Board that consists of Trade Centre Limited staff and regional representatives for Lighthorse, Heavy Horse, Open/Junior Beef, Dairy, Sheep, Oxen and Homemaking divisions.

Like the Atlantic Winter Fair, the Maritime Fall Fair continues to promote the local and regional agricultural industry through educational displays like AgCot Discovery Centre and Canada Pavilion sponsored by the Department of Agricultural, NS and the Government of Canada. As well as local entertainment including the Little Moe’s Paws for Fun dog show and the Kevin Beanland Band.
